Stop Carrying What God Told You to Release

Girl, I See You! Blog Post Week of May 25, 2026

Sometimes we become so used to carrying stress, disappointment, fear, and emotional weight that it starts to feel normal. We smile while struggling. We pour into everyone else while secretly running on empty.

But sis…God never intended for you to carry everything alone.

This week is your reminder to release what has been weighing down your spirit.

Release the pressure to have it all together. Release the guilt from past mistakes. Release the fear of disappointing people. Release the need to control every outcome.

Some battles are not yours to fight. Some burdens were never yours to hold.

There comes a point where healing requires surrender.

Surrendering does not mean giving up. It means trusting God enough to stop carrying things He already promised to handle. It means choosing peace over panic and faith over fear.

Many women are emotionally exhausted because they are trying to carry:

  • Broken relationships

  • Unhealed pain

  • Financial stress

  • Family expectations

  • Anxiety about the future

  • The pressure of being “strong” all the time

But strength is not pretending you are okay when you are falling apart. Real strength is knowing when to pause, pray, rest, and allow God to restore you.

This week, make room for peace.

Take the walk. Say the prayer. Turn off the noise. Protect your energy. Rest without guilt.

God can do more with your surrender than you can do with your stress.

Scripture of the Week

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

Reflection Questions

  1. What emotional weight have you been carrying that God is asking you to release?

  2. What would your life look like if you truly trusted God with the outcome?

  3. How can you create more peace in your daily routine this week?

Weekly Affirmation

I release fear, pressure, and worry. I trust God with what I cannot control. I deserve peace, rest, and healing. I will no longer carry what God told me to release.
