Shift Your Focus
Week of June 15, 2026
Sis, what you focus on grows.
If you focus on your problems, they will seem bigger.
If you focus on your fears, they will feel stronger.
If you focus on what you lack, you’ll miss what God has already provided.
But when you shift your focus to God, everything begins to change.
Life has a way of pulling our attention toward what’s going wrong. We can become consumed with disappointments, setbacks, unanswered prayers, and situations we cannot control. Before long, we find ourselves exhausted, discouraged, and questioning whether things will ever get better.
Yet God never intended for our circumstances to be our focus.
He calls us to fix our eyes on Him.
When Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on water, he did something impossible. As long as his focus remained on Jesus, he stayed above the waves. But the moment he shifted his attention to the wind and the storm around him, fear took over.
How often do we do the same?
We start strong in faith, but then life happens. We begin focusing on the storm instead of the Savior. We focus on the obstacle instead of the opportunity. We focus on the delay instead of God’s promise.
This week, God is inviting you to make a shift.
Shift your focus from:
Fear to faith
Problems to possibilities
Scarcity to provision
Worry to worship
Doubt to trust
The situation may not change overnight, but your perspective can.
And sometimes a changed perspective is the very thing that positions us to see God’s hand at work.
Sis, there is still goodness ahead of you.
There is still purpose in you.
There is still a promise attached to your life.
Don’t allow temporary circumstances to distract you from an eternal truth:
God is still in control.
Scripture of the Week
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” — Colossians 3:2
