🤝 Made for More: A 4-Week Bible Study on Community for Women
Theme: Finding strength, healing, and identity in godly sisterhood
Author: Natasha Lackey | Girl, I See You!
📖 WEEK 1: You Were Never Meant to Do Life Alone
Scripture Focus:
-
Genesis 2:18 – “It is not good for man to be alone...”
-
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 – “Two are better than one...if either of them falls, one can help the other up.”
Devotional Thought:
From the beginning, God designed us for connection. Loneliness isn’t a flaw—it’s a signal. You were made for godly friendship, for meaningful connection, for safe spaces. Isolation is where the enemy thrives, but healing flows in community.
Reflection Questions:
-
Are you walking through life connected or isolated?
-
Have you been wounded by relationships—and withdrawn because of it?
-
What would healthy community look like for you?
Action Step:
Reach out to a woman you admire or miss. Rebuild or plant a connection this week.
📖 WEEK 2: Godly Friendship Requires Vulnerability
Scripture Focus:
-
James 5:16 – “Confess your sins to one another and pray for each other…”
-
Proverbs 27:17 – “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
Devotional Thought:
True friendship isn't built on filters—it's built on vulnerability. It’s the sacred space where you can say, “I’m not okay,” and still be embraced. Trust grows when we’re brave enough to be real. When we risk honesty, we make room for healing and depth.
Reflection Questions:
-
What’s keeping you from being vulnerable with other women?
-
Who can you trust with your truth?
-
How can you become a safe space for others?
Action Step:
Write down a truth about yourself you’ve been hiding—and ask God for courage to share it with someone safe.
📖 WEEK 3: Healing Happens in Community
Scripture Focus:
-
Mark 2:3-5 – The friends who lowered the paralyzed man through the roof
-
Romans 12:15 – “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.”
Devotional Thought:
Sometimes it’s not our faith that heals us—but the faith of those who carry us. We all need people who will lift us up when we can't stand on our own. Healing accelerates in community. Grief feels lighter, victories feel brighter, and burdens become bearable.
Reflection Questions:
-
When have you felt carried by someone else’s faith or support?
-
Are you showing up in someone’s life as a stretcher-bearer?
Action Step:
Pray for one woman by name this week. Then follow up with love or support—be the friend who shows up.
📖 WEEK 4: Sisterhood That Honors God
Scripture Focus:
-
Acts 2:42-47 – The early church community
-
Philippians 2:2-4 – “Do nothing out of selfish ambition...in humility value others above yourselves.”
Devotional Thought:
The early church didn’t just meet together—they shared life. Sisterhood that honors God is marked by unity, humility, and generosity. It’s not about gossip—it’s about growth. It’s not about competition—it’s about collaboration. When women come together in Christ, healing and revival begin.
Reflection Questions:
-
What kind of sisterhood do you long for?
-
Are you building community or staying safe in your circle?
-
How can you show up more intentionally in women’s lives around you?
-
Action Step:
Write a “Sisterhood Commitment” to God: how you will contribute to healthy community this year.
