Identity

👑 Daughter, You Are Her: A 4-Week Bible Study on Identity in Christ

Theme: Discovering who you are beyond the world’s labels
Author: Natasha Lackey | Girl, I See You!

📖 WEEK 1: Created on Purpose

Scripture Focus:

  • Genesis 1:27 – “So God created mankind in His own image...”

  • Psalm 139:13-14 – “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Devotional Thought:
You are not an accident. You were formed by the hands of God, designed with care and intention. The world will try to name you based on your past or performance—but God calls you daughter. Identity starts with knowing the One who created you.

Reflection Questions:

  • Do you believe you were intentionally created? Why or why not?

  • What labels have you worn that God never gave you?

  • How does it feel to know you were made in His image?

Action Step:
List 3 things you love about how God uniquely created you (inside & out).

📖 WEEK 2: Redeemed, Not Defined by Your Past

Scripture Focus:

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation...”

  • Isaiah 43:18-19 – “Forget the former things...see, I am doing a new thing.”

Devotional Thought:

You are not what happened to you. You are not your mistakes. You are redeemed. Your past may explain you—but it doesn’t define you. God sees beyond who you’ve been and is shaping who you’re becoming. You’re free to grow, heal, and move forward.

Reflection Questions:

  • What part of your past are you still letting define your identity?

  • How does knowing you're a “new creation” change how you see yourself?

Action Step:

Write a “release prayer” surrendering shame, guilt, or regret to God.

📖 WEEK 3: You Are Enough Because He Is

Scripture Focus:

  • 2 Corinthians 12:9 – “My grace is sufficient for you...”

  • Ephesians 2:10 – “You are God’s masterpiece…”

Devotional Thought:

Comparison is a thief—and many women silently battle the lie that they’re not enough. But God's truth says you are already loved, worthy, and enough—not because of your performance, but because of His presence. You don’t have to hustle for your worth.

Reflection Questions:

  • Where do you feel “not enough”?

  • How do you tend to compare yourself to others?

  • What does it look like to rest in grace?

Action Step:

Write 3 affirmations starting with “I am…” that reflect how God sees you.

📖 WEEK 4: Walking Boldly in Your Identity

Scripture Focus:

  • 1 Peter 2:9 – “You are a chosen people…God’s special possession.”

  • Galatians 2:20 – “Christ lives in me…”

Devotional Thought:
It’s one thing to know who you are—it’s another to walk in it. When you understand your identity, your confidence shifts. You stop shrinking, you stop apologizing, and you start living like the woman God called you to be. Identity births purpose, and purpose leads to boldness.

Reflection Questions:

  • Where have you been shrinking in your identity?

  • What would boldness look like in your relationships, calling, or mindset?

Action Step:
Declare: “I am who God says I am.” List 3 steps you’ll take this week to live like it.
