Rooted in Faith: A 4-Week Bible Study for Women
Theme: Building unshakable faith in every season
Author: Natasha Lackey | Girl, I See You!
📖 WEEK 1: What is Faith?
Scripture Focus:
-
Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
-
Romans 10:17 – “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”
Devotional Thought:
Faith is more than wishful thinking. It’s full trust in a God you cannot see, even when circumstances say otherwise. As women, we often struggle to surrender control. But faith asks us to believe when we don’t have all the answers—and to rest knowing God does.
Reflection Questions:
-
What is your current definition of faith?
-
Where in your life are you being called to trust God more?
-
What are you hoping for—but struggling to believe?
Action Step:
Write down a “Faith Declaration” using a Scripture and post it where you’ll see it daily.
📖 WEEK 2: Faith Through the Fire
Scripture Focus:
-
Daniel 3:17-18 – “Even if He does not, we will not bow…”
-
James 1:2-4 – “The testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
Devotional Thought:
Faith isn’t proven in ease—it’s proven in fire. Whether you’re facing trials in family, health, finances, or self-worth, God wants you to know: He is in the fire with you. It’s in the flames that your faith is refined and made stronger.
Reflection Questions:
-
What trials have tested your faith the most?
-
How did you respond—fearfully or faithfully?
-
Where do you need to stand firm, even if the outcome isn’t clear?
Action Step:
Write a prayer of faith in the middle of your “fire” and speak it out loud.
📖 WEEK 3: Women of Faith in the Bible
Scripture Focus:
-
Luke 1:38 – “Be it unto me according to Your word.” (Mary)
-
Mark 5:34 – “Daughter, your faith has made you whole.” (Woman with the issue of blood)
-
Hebrews 11:11 – “By faith, even Sarah…”
Devotional Thought:
Women throughout Scripture changed history not by being perfect—but by believing. Mary believed the impossible. The bleeding woman believed for healing. Sarah believed in spite of delay. Their faith wasn’t passive—it was powerful, activated by surrender.
Reflection Questions:
-
Which woman of faith in Scripture do you relate to most and why?
-
What “faith risk” might God be asking you to take?
Action Step:
Write down a bold prayer inspired by one of these women. Begin praying it daily.
📖 WEEK 4: Faith for the Future
Scripture Focus:
-
Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you…”
-
Isaiah 43:19 – “See, I am doing a new thing!”
-
2 Corinthians 5:7 – “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Devotional Thought:
It’s easy to have faith in hindsight. The challenge is to have faith for the not yet. God’s plans for you are good—even when life feels uncertain. Faith for the future means letting go of control and leaning into trust. Your next chapter is already known by God.
Reflection Questions:
-
Are you holding onto fear or faith when you think about your future?
-
What dream or calling have you delayed because of doubt?
Action Step:
Create a “Faith Vision Board” or journal one step you’ll take in obedience, even without full clarity.
